About World Baseball Foundation
From our inception in 2006, WBF Tournaments has been on a fast track to hosting some of the top international baseball tournaments.
WBF held the 2006 and 2007 International Cup Baseball Tournaments in the Dominican Republic. The games were played in Punta Cana, La Romana, and Higuey, with participating teams from USA, Panama, Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic.
2008 WBF held the Mexico Classic Baseball Tournament in Merida, Mexico. The tournament was held on the grounds of the Liga Yucatan A.C. Baseball Complex. The opening ceremonies were held in Kukulcan Baseball Stadium, site of 3 Mexican League All-Star Games.
2009 brought over 50 teams in attendance from 7-10 different countries. With the quality of events and a focus on providing teams with the ability to compete on top notch collegiate facilities, an overwhelming response from teams and collegiate coaches came in requesting that we expand our tournament locations.
The 2010 season saw much of the same success as WBF Tournaments continued to improve events, seeing even more countries in attendance during tournaments. With nearly 80 teams attending tournaments events were hosted at FIU University and Dade County Parks and Universities. Participating programs reached from United States to Japan covering over 10 different countries.
The 2011 season, with the Travel Ball World Championships, brought numerous teams from 10+ different countries, as well as various cities throughout the United States.
WBF pledges to continue to work hard for the next coming season to assure high attendance from teams throughout the United States and around the world.
WBF is looking forward to working to enhance your baseball experience by providing you and your teams with top notch competitive baseball with teams from around the world.
